Around a World Heritage Site: The Gunkanjima Guide [Complete Edition] has been launched to convey the history and culture of Gunkanjima (Hashima), which supported Japan’s industrial revolution, and the lives of the islanders to present and future generations.
On the basis of assistance from the Gunkanjima Digital Museum—actually, by an assault on our part—we aim to create a site that conveys the present and old days of Gunkanjima, such as valuable photos and information from that time, such as coverage of Gunkanjima landing tours.
This site has been created based on information current as of April 2019.
The proprietary rights to the images and photos (copyrighted content) posted on the site have been provided by the Gunkanjima Digital Museum and the Gunkanjima Concierge (Universal Workers Co., Ltd.). Please refrain from unauthorized reproduction and publication.
You may not be able to land on a Gunkanjima tour depending on the weather and wave conditions of the day, so please check with the tour company.

In many cases, it is impossible to land due to sea conditions and bad weather. However, with the cooperation of the Gunkanjima Concierge, which boasts a high landing rate of 94.7% (*), we present a report on the landing tour that we participated in. We will acquaint you with all the charms of Gunkanjima, not to mention the highlights of the tour!
